Let it go.

Everyone I know is holding onto something painful from the past.

This is something I was dealing with when I got back from my trip in Thailand, when something happened to me and it shattered me like I had never been so broken before.

But looking back on my trip in Thailand, flicking through the photographs, the trees and waterfalls, monkeys and bestfriends, it tickles me silly, I found myself smiling back on just a few short weeks I had spent with Kasia, tequilla and giant frogs.

All that angst and sadness, that rage your holding onto, let it go. It's not worth it in the end.

Leave the regrets behind, cause at one point, everything was exactly what you wanted.

Look for the magic in this world instead. Magic exists all around us, how does a tree grow you may ask, through a seed some might say, others might say God created mankind and nature, I say the only explanation is magic.
Just breathe. Be free.

A walk in somebody else's shoe.

The earth, its people, its land, its creatures, the relationships we build only to create a memory worth remembering.

As i type these first few words, I am excited, my first ever blog, not just an online diary where I can express my thoughts and emotions, but also a place where I can expose my, if not little knowledge on issues that matter in this world.

My passion is life, to live it. But it goes beyond this, for life would be purposeless without something worthy to live for. For me, thats to have compassion. 6 Billion people rome this world day in and day out, everyday some die, some discover, some marry, some give birth, some loose, some hope, I could make this list of possibilities endless, but ultimately some suffer. And by this, I am reffering to innocent people, suffering a 'could have been or be avoidable situation', poverty. Homeless, malnourished people, images of barely there individuals flash through my mind, skin so thin that i feel the very tip of my finger nails could pierce right through to the underdeveloped bones. Begging eyes, big and innocent, reflecting the truth about this world and how corrupted and destructable we still are, yes, even in this 21st century. Because the truth is, every 3 seconds a child drops dead.

I am not aiming this injustice at just children, but all humans too, and all creatures slimy or fury. Animal cruelty, this huge topic bugs me countless times a day. As I layed in bed watching 60 minutes the other night, they investigated what many call the "dancing bears". 800 bears are forced to perform on the streets through out India, day by day. As they "dance" for the sole purpose of entertaining selfish tourists, they are unwillingly guided by their trainers, who use a thick, heavy, rusty, germ infested chain, which is pierced through the bear's noses, the hole as big as a 10 cent piece, to control their every move. The bears are forced to perform in such unfamilar and unatural surroundings, full of amused faces, man made buildings, pollution, a habitat that is so, so harshly inappropiate for such animals to endure in. Imagine if day in, day out, you only have the same four corners to explore, the same ceiling or small portion of the sky to wake up to, trying to pace out each day in the limited area you have, how would you feel? These animals lives are defined with one word; trapped.

Land animals aren't the only animals who suffer, marine animals take a huge fall too. Particularly whales, such as the Blue whale, they have a heart the size of a medium sized car, yes I know, and despite the size of the whale and all its glorious makings, due to the dimensions of its throat, it cannot swallow anything larger then your average beachball, feel the innocence here? During each seasonal migration, the whales travel up to 3700 miles within their beloved ocean, their rightful homes. Whales captured and put into man made aquariums have an almost fatal future, with a 40%-50% of survival rates. These marine animals are forced into such small, claustrophobic enclosures, such a heartbreaking change from their real homes, the ocean, which takes up 70% of the world, this whopping figure only underlines how significant it is for a whale to live in its natural habitat, it was intended for them to rightfully use the ocean at their own free will. Many marine animals living in captivity die, or are slowly dying. Outcomes show that it is not physical, it is their emotions, seperated from their loved ones, only to be surrounded by loud, screeching voices of the crowd, many dolphins fall into depression, and many simply choose to stop breathing, they are not like us, where we unconsciously breathe, dolphins have to consciously inhale and exhale. But many trapped in captivity, choose not too.

Captivity is not about education or conservation, it is about one thing - mulla $$$.
Humans are the most intellectual creatures on Earth, yet our greed seems to define many individuals these days. Money, stupid, stupid money! Yes, I admit, that no one can physically survive in this 21st century without money, but many strive to be rich, and to do this, you must profit, which means you have to produce something for consumers ie. animals entertaining for tourists. This human lust to live such materialistic lives causes fatal and inhumane consequences. We need to, we must change our way of life, our priorities for the sake of conserving this beautiful earth and its creatures.

I aspire to live a rich life, not materiallistically, but spiritually, to give back to the earth, the people, to build memories worth remembering, for then will I feel worthy, it doesn't matter what you own or don't own, cause at the end of the day, these things wont matter, for when you leave this world, nobody is going to give a toss on whether you owned that sports car or not, they are going to remember how you impacted them, with your extraordinary words or actions, which ultimately will, even in the slightest manner, have a domino affect through out the world. This is what I hope to do. Inspire, give a toss, be active and live.

For whoever made it this far as to read this fraction of my blog, thank you for listening and giving a shit.
